Charisse Murphy is a mother of four, three of which are young girls. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Criminal Justice and a Master’s Degree in Human Service and Leadership from Northeastern University. Charisse has over 14 years’ experience of working with youth and their families in the nonprofit sector, and has a genuine interest for improving the community one youth at a time. Charisse discovered a need for youth programming in her community and decided that because of the expertise, education, and training that she has in girl services she would begin with a gender-specific program for young girls. Her passion about the growth, success, and empowerment of young girls is displayed in the EmPOWER ME! curriculum. Charisse desires for the girls who experience EmPOWER ME! to grow and reach their individual fullest potential.
